IFAT World Fair

The IFAT Fair, one of the leading world fairs for water, waste water, waste management and raw materials, was held in Munich, from the 5th to the 9th May. This fair is being organized every two years, presenting the most optimal and up-to-date overview of international developments on practical solutions market in the area of waste disposal, recycling and environment protection technologies. Delagation from Kotor Municipality, consisting of the Municipality Vicemayor Mr Tvrtko Crepulja, Public Utility Company director Mr Zoran Mrdak and the member of steering committee of this company, Mr Željko Avramović, visited this first class event.  

This year, the competence of IFAT Fair has been complemented by a thorough congress program which included demonstrations of vehicle and construction material recycling, professional competitions, exhibitor presentations, and special themes such as intelligent urbanization, UN Water Center, etc.
Members of Kotor Municipality delegation were in position to get to know the problems and solutions in areas of pumping and distributing water, sewerage and waste waters, preservation of coasts, protection from floods, waste management and recycling, using waste material as energy source, cleaning the streets, maintaining winter service, decontamination of old construction sites, soil analysis, rinsing off the smoky gasses and extracting air, decreasing air pollution, decreasing noise and soundproofing, services, research, technologies, measuring, controlling, laboratory techniques in all mentioned areas.
The delegation also devoted time to visit the General Consulate of Montenegro in Munich.
