THE WASTEFULNESS OF THE PREVIOUS GOVERNMENT WAS SENT IN THE PAST

26.06.2017.
THE WASTEFULNESS OF THE PREVIOUS GOVERNMENT WAS SENT IN THE PAST

Since the new local government came to power, Kotor does not have and will never have any feast of the elite at the expense of all citizens. Budget funds from the Municipality of Kotor, headed by Vladimir Jokić, will serve solely for the settlement of public, not private necessities. How the honest and conscientious approach to spending budget money has striking results shows that this year, in comparison with the same period last year, travel expenses are three times lower, while representation expenses are five times lower. Balancing and handling the management of budget money and public resources are not just a political promise, but a moral obligation and one of the main economic tasks of the new municipal government.

The arrogance and profligacy of local public officials, as well as their focus solely on personal interests went to the past of Kotor after the ex-presidential regime went to the opposition. The pursuit of nothing but personal interests at the cost of all citizens of Kotor has ended forever.

A huge part of the budget of the Kotor Municipality previously, for the long time, was a prey for the bosses of the previous governing elite. Since we have reduced the cost of business trips, as well as the expenditures for representation, but also considering other budgetary measures, we have more and more conditions to adequately meet the social and other public needs in Kotor.

This is especially important if we take into account the accumulated and burning social needs of citizens in times of complex and deep economic crisis. Reductions on the spending of budgetary funds for the new municipal government are not only of great economic significance, but they are primarily of great importance for building confidence in municipal institutions that have to and will serve as a service for all citizens of Kotor.

Only those authorities that do not behave bitterly in the financing of budget money, but by giving up their concern for the general interest will not miss political or other ideals with which they met with citizens in the previous elections. All institutional mechanisms available to the new local authority will be fully in the function of fiscal consolidation and the establishment of the overall fiscal discipline in Kotor.
