REVENUES INCREASED BY 1.5 MILLION EUROS THANKS TO A RESPONSIBLE APPROACH

Budgetary discipline in the Municipality of Kotor has never been on a higher level than it is today, after the disempowering of irresponsible and expansive elite whose actions were costly for all our citizens. Establishing a fiscal discipline was one of the basic program commitments of the new local government headed by the President Vladimir Jokić and all the mechanisms are aimed at this goal, as well as the concrete results indicate that we are fulfilling what we promised.

According to this year’s data, concluded with June 15th budget realization amounted to 45% or 9,250,336 euros, which is 1,573,390 euros more than on the same day of the previous year. This data clearly shows the quality of the budget policy of the new municipal government. Record budget data are the result of the strongest will of the new local government to consolidate the city financially and to improve the fiscal effects of all types. This is achieved by introducing robust control mechanisms for total revenues, but also for each individual public revenue instrument.
If the order and responsibility in the process of public revenue collection is introduced, the improvement in the overall fiscal effect is a certain consequence. Also, establishing a fiscal discipline would be impossible if it has privileges and if the law would not have primacy over any individual will. It is the new local government that can boast record budget results because there are no more privileged individuals, because there is no more chaos and because there is no longer a self-will in the budgeting of the Municipality of Kotor.
Thanks to the strong control over the system of local public revenues and expenditures, as well as stabilization in the system of local public finances, the Municipality of Kotor can timely and efficiently finance the entire spectrum of public needs and raise the level of well-being. If we, as a good host, take care of a budget Kotor will be a rich house for all citizens. Household management of the budget cashier would not have been able to eliminate the ancient parasites who misused public money if the order and responsibility were not imposed and if the planned and consistent implementation of the regulations was not acted upon. This was the main task of the new local government, which, in that regard, may certainly look into the eyes of all citizens of Kotor.
