Visit of representatives of the Chinese city of Xian

The Mayor of the Municipality of Kotor, Mrs Marija Ćatović has welcomed today guests from the Chinese city Xi'an, which is the twin city with Kotor. Children's Ensemble of the city of Xi'an, consisting of nine children and six adults, staying in Kotor from 7th to 11th of July and on this occasion they had performances at the Kotor's Festival of Theatre for Children.Music group performed a traditional Chinese dance on Tuesday July 8th, and it will perform again tonight at the closing of the festival.The aim of the visit was just to pass through the artistic expression of their culture and traditions in our region.The Mayor, Mrs Ćatović has welcomed them, saying: 'I hope that during your stay you managed to get to know our city and the people in it and I hope that we were good hosts. I'm glad the cooperation between our two sister city continues, and that, in this way, in addition to economic cooperation, we are improving also cultural relations.'Guests from Xi'an expressed their gratitude for the hospitality. Children from Xi'an are thrilled with the natural beauty of Kotor and happy as they have made new friends with the children of our city.
