Project DeFishGear

Project DeFishGear

Today is signed the Agreement on cooperation between the Municipality of Kotor and the Institute of Marine Biology, in order to implement the objectives of the project DeFishGear (System Management antiquated fishing gear in the Mediterranean region). The agreement was signed by the Deputy Mayor of the Municipality of Kotor, Mr Tvrtko Crepulja and Mrs Milica Mandic, authorized representative and project manager.  

 
The project is funded by the European Union under the IPA Adriatic Programme, implemented in co-operation with partners from Slovenia, Italy, Croatia, Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Greece. The objectives of the project are the development of strategies to reduce waste in the Adriatic Sea, waste reduction, improving the availability of landfill on the land and its use. The plan is to raise awareness about the importance of solving problems morkog waste, which seriously threatens the ecosystem.
