Awards for the best sports figures of Kotor Municipality

The award ceremony for the best sports figures in the municipality of Kotor for 2017 was held at the Bizantium Palace last night. Based on the public invitation of the Secretariat for Culture, Sports and Social Activities by insight into sports activities and achieved results this year, the selection of the best was done by the Sports Committee composed of Branko Nedovica, Commission President Jelena Vukasovic, Dejan Adzic, Moma Knezevica and Petar Djakovic, while Dragan Sklender from Radio Kotor and Nikola Doncic in front of Kotor TV took participation as journalists. The distribution of nominations and awards was as follwing:

In the category of the most promising athlete among the five nominees, the decision of the Sports Committee, for the most perspective sportsman of Kotor Municipality for 2017, was elected member VA Cattaro and the captain of junior national team of Montenegro, who won gold at the European Championship in Malta - Miroslav Perkovic.
For the best sports collective, Auto Moto sports club Blazo Smiljanic, team state champion, was selected to win seven champions of Montenegro in the year.
Coach VK Primorac and member of the junior water polo national team of Montenegro, Miodrag Matkovic, was declared the best sports coach.
The organizer of the triathlon race Ocean Lava Montenegro, which has been awarded the Kotor's best sports worker for 2017 within the series of this competition, which is being held in 12 countries of the world.
Special awards were given to the Sailing Club Lahor, a special award for the development of the sport of Kotor Municipality in 2017 and Milos Radonjic for the outstanding achievement in 2017.

Jovan Przica from VA Cattaro
Members of JJ Champion Mirjana Martinovic and Biljana Mitrovic
Andrej Joksimovic and Balsa Jokic, winners of the fourth place at the European Championship in Slovenia with a pioneer basketball team.
The players of VK Primorac Aljoša Macic, Vuk Draskovic and Bogdan Radnjic are the golden junior national team in water polo.
Members of the Sports and Sports Journalists Committee, Sports Advisor Slobodan Macic and Vice-President Ljiljana Popovic Moskov presented the awards.
For the best athlete of the year, we elected a member of the Auto Moto Sports Club "Blazo Smiljanic", triple champion of Montenegro and golden helmet holder - Nemanja Kascelan, who was awarded the prize by the president of Kotor Municipality Vladimir Jokic.
